Works of art by Penn State Altoona’s Visual Art Studies (VAST) students will be on display Dec. 1-11 in the McLanahan Gallery of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. A reception for student artists, faculty, and the public will be held from 3-5 p.m. Dec. 1 in the Titelman Study of the Misciagna Center.

Leveraging dozens of faculty with an academic and research interest in sports, Penn State on Nov. 14 announced the creation of the Center for the Study of Sports in Society. The center will be charged with supporting research, teaching, public programs and service across Penn State related to the study of sport and its cultural, economic and social impact.
