988 and the Penn State Crisis Line can also be used for consultation if you know someone or are with someone who is experiencing a crisis. Faculty and staff may also refer to the Red Folder for additional information to assist distressed students.

University Police

Penn State Altoona is patrolled by our University Police officers around the clock, 365 days a year. They are responsible for the protection of and service to our students, faculty, and staff. University Police officers are also charged with enforcing both the laws of the Commonwealth and University regulations. They have full law enforcement authority on our campus.
