Five Penn State Altoona student-athletes took spots on the fall sports chapter of the 2021-22 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Sportsmanship Team. Individuals who display good sportsmanship throughout the season are selected by a vote of their teammates.
Students enrolled in English 487W offered senior seminar presentations on Thursday, Dec. 9, focused on the theme of “Rhetoric and Literature of Social Movements and Social Change.”
Penn State Altoona forward/center Alexis Cannistraci was selected as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s Player of the Week in women’s basketball on Dec. 13. Cannistraci had a big week in two AMCC games for the Lions, including becoming the Penn State Altoona women’s basketball program’s all-time leading scorer.
Student marshals are chosen to represent their academic division based on outstanding academic achievement. Penn State Altoona will hold its fall 2021 commencement ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 18.
“365 Grams,” a series of work by Distinguished Professor of Visual Arts Rebecca Strzelec, will run Jan. 13 to March 18 in the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts.
Lindsay Keiter, assistant professor of history at Penn State Altoona, will offer the lecture "The Emergence of the Marriage Market" via Zoom on Tuesday, Jan. 18.
