Penn State Altoona held its 2018 spring Business, Engineering, and Information Sciences and Technology Student Showcase event Friday, April 27, in which students from various disciplines showcased their work through presentations to the college and local business community.
Alexander Diehm received the University Libraries Award for Information Literacy for his poster, “Using Photoconductive Decay (PCD) to Measure Minority Carrier Lifetime in Semiconductors,” at the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Fair.
The freshman pitcher from Beech Creek, PA picked up two more weekly awards on April 24, as she was named the ECAC Division III South Region Pitcher of the Week and Rookie of the Week.
Freshman Parag Dharbhamulla from Johnstown, PA was selected as the AMCC’s Co-Newcomer of the Year while junior Jonathan D’Arcy from Doylestown, PA earned second team All-AMCC honors.
Hundreds of students and judges bustled about in the HUB-Robeson Center Wednesday evening for the 2018 Undergraduate Research Exhibition on the University Park campus of Penn State. From musical presentations in the Flex Theater to posters in Alumni and Heritage halls, the University's best were promoting the fruits of their academic and artistic pursuits.
The list of 2018 Erickson Discovery Grants has been released, and 72 students from Penn State campuses will have their work bolstered by a $3,500 grant from the Office of Undergraduate Education.
