An interview with Erin Murphy, professor of English, about her edited collection of narrative medicine essays has been published in Punctuate magazine.

Bodies of Truth: Personal Narratives on Illness, Disability, and Medicine was released in January by the University of Nebraska Press. Murphy co-edited the book with Renee K. Nicholson, who also took part in the interview, and Dinty W. Moore. The book features essays by patients, patient advocates, and healthcare professionals. Topics include cancer, mental illness, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, severe food allergies, death of a child, Down syndrome, autoimmune disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, depression, and PTSD, among others.
