ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona staff member Jonathan O'Harrow, along with Karen Volpe of Altoona, was honored as an "Angel of Arts" by the Blair County Arts Foundation at its annual "Night for the Mishler" dinner on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at the Heritage Discover Center in downtown Altoona. The two were recognized for their 15-year collaboration on the "Sparkle" shows; a series of 12 original musical productions featuring up to 75 children, ages 6-18.
Established in 2005, the Blair County Arts Foundation's "Angel of Arts" is awarded to individuals and organizations that work to promote and further the arts in the Blair County community.
O'Harrow is the interim director of strategic communications and webmaster at Penn State Altoona.
