The Office of Strategic Communications supports the communications, public relations, and marketing work for Penn State Altoona.
We provide campus-wide support to ensure a consistent look for all external and internal publications, both print and digital. Office functions and responsibilities—both for the college as a whole and for individual offices and programs—include the following:
- Web design
- Public relations
- Media relations
- Community relations
- Internal and external communications
- Publication and graphic design
- Advertisement and billboard design
- Video production
- Social media management
- Facilities rentals for external audiences
- Special event planning
Public relations—both internal and external—is important in creating a positive image of our college. Strategic Communications is available to assist faculty and staff in generating publicity for your offices, department, campus organizations, and all other University-sponsored events. Because of the workings of the media, official news releases should be sent only through, or with the approval of, the Office of Strategic Communications. All publicity should be coordinated through Strategic Communications.
The Office of Strategic Communications is located in the Beech House on campus.
