The public is invited to the spring Penn State Altoona Student Showcase Friday, April 26, 2019, at the Devorris Downtown Center.

A new student-curated exhibit at the Eiche Library showcases nature writing from the library collections and original student artwork for the month of April.

Donald J. Cella, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, received the Penn State Alumni Association’s Alumni Achievement Award on March 29. The award recognizes alumni 35 years of age and younger for their extraordinary professional accomplishments.

Sponsored by the Office of Naval Research, the SeAL Challenge is a STEM program for high school students in which they tackle difficult engineering tasks that mimic missions encountered by the military, national security agencies, and first responders.

Due to predicted inclement weather, the Ivyside Off the Rails event scheduled for Sunday, April 14 has been canceled.

The April 26 performance will include a variety of genres ranging from classical and contemporary to rock and musical theatre selections.

Ian Marshall will perform a selection of “Songs for the Earth” on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at 3 p.m. in the Titelman Study of the Misciagna Family Center for the Performing Arts.

Throughout lunch hours on Tuesday, April 23, those eating at Port Sky Cafe can donate $5-15 from their own meal plans.

The spring 2019 issue of Hard Freight, Penn State Altoona’s student literary arts magazine, has been published.
