ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - Penn State Altoona sophomore Emily Booz (Berwyn, PA/Conestoga) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Women's Swimmer of the Week on Monday.
Booz had a strong performance for the Lady Lions in their 72-46 win over Bethany College this past Saturday, recording two individual first place finishes while also being part of a first place in a relay event.
Booz won the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 2:14.04, and she later came in first place in the 200 Yard Backstroke with a time of 2:23.65. In the 400 Yard Medley Relay, Booz and her teammates combined for a time of 4:53.68 to come in first place.
This is Booz's first AMCC weekly award this season.
Penn State Altoona women's swimming is back in action this Saturday, November 18 at 1:00 p.m., when the team hosts Alfred State College for a dual meet at the Altoona Area High School Pool.
