ALTOONA, Pa. — Stefanie Kempton, assistant professor of communications at Penn State Altoona, was selected to be a Kopenhaver Center Fellow for 2021.
The Kopenhaver Center was established within Florida International University in 2012 as a pioneering site for the advancement of women in the field of communications.
As a fellow, Kempton will participate in several workshops and networking events to help participants grow as female scholars. The first workshop, “Women Faculty Moving Forward: Leading the Future of Academia,” will occur during the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication’s annual conference this August.
