Jerry Zolten contributes to new public radio program

Jerry Zolten served as an advisor, contributor, and interviewee for the new public radio program, Gospel Roots of Rock and Soul. 

Hosted by Grammy award-winning gospel singer CeCe Winans, Gospel Roots of Rock and Soul is produced by Philadelphia public radio station WXPN and distributed by NPR. Through in-depth interviews with artists and dozens of songs, the four-hour documentary illuminates the profound impact that gospel music has made on popular music. It will be broadcast by U.S. radio stations in February, during Black History Month.

Zolten is professor of communication arts and sciences and integrative arts at Penn State Altoona.
