Penn State Altoona student-athletes Zayden Tamashiro, Jackson Newell, Sidney Nihart and Tristan Holland were announced as selections to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s Donna Ledwin Spring All-Sportsmanship Team.

A book by Erin Murphy, professor of English at Penn State Altoona, has been named as a finalist for the Julie Suk Award for the best book of poetry published by a literary press in 2024. The award is sponsored by Jacar Press.
Penn State Altoona is offering ballet classes for adults from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Sundays, June 8, 15, and 29, and July 6, 13, and 20. There is a $50 registration fee for the classes. Classes will be held in the dance studio, room 148 of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts.

Five Penn State Altoona student-athletes from the women’s and men’s tennis teams were named to the College Sports Communicators’ NCAA Division III Academic All-District teams on Tuesday, May 13, when the organization announced the list.
