Sarah Shear is keynote speaker at teach-in on Indigenous Peoples

Sarah Shear, assistant professor of social studies education, is the featured keynote at the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian Indigenous Peoples' Curriculum Day and Teach-In.

The September 8, 2018, event is a full day teach-in co-sponsored by the D.C. Area Educators for Social Justice (a Teaching for Change project). Attendees with engage with curriculum and strategies for teaching students about Indigenous Peoples' history and life today.

Shear will also co-facilitate sessions on the use of children's literature in elementary social studies education.
