General Medicine Clinic
General medicine clinic is provided for any condition that is not life threatening or emergent. In this setting your medical condition is evaluated, treated and followed. Examples of conditions that we see are flu symptoms, respiratory conditions, sports injuries, urinary tract infections, rashes, mononucleosis, and physicals for driver's licenses, employment, or sports.
Health Services offers some on-site labs, including rapid strep, mono spot, urinalysis, pregnancy testing, glucose, hemoglobin, and sexually transmitted infection testing. HIV testing is also offered. All tests and results are confidential. Other labs can be ordered by providers. Students requiring tests not done at the Health and Wellness Center can go to local labs or x-ray centers.
Health Services carries a variety of prescription and nonprescription medications on site for students being evaluated. Pricing is moderate compared to outside resources. Students who wish to use their prescriptive insurance card may obtain written prescriptions to have filled at a local pharmacy.
How to schedule
Visits to Health Services can be scheduled online through the Student Online Access service, by phone or by walking in to the Center. We strive to provide same day service for most medical appointments. Please arrive 15 minutes early for your scheduled appointment to allow for paper work to be completed. If an appointment cannot be kept the student needs to call and cancel. A no show fee will be charged if the student fails to cancel.
