Penn State Altoona offers a wide variety of intramural sports throughout the academic year. Intramural sports offer the opportunity for students to compete in a friendly and structured environment.
The intramural program serves as a means of improving the quality of life, which allows all participants—regardless of the degree of skill—an opportunity to develop new friendships, group loyalty, sportsmanship, and respect for all opponents and officials. Intramural sports offers you the opportunity to participate in your favorite sport on a competitive or recreational level. Leagues are available ranging from indoor and outdoor sports; including basketball, soccer, flag football, softball, volleyball, racquetball, and dodgeball. In some cases, teams that compete and win championships may qualify to compete in tournaments against other Pennsylvania colleges or universities.
