Penn State Altoona men’s tennis student-athlete Emmett Hibbs, of Richfield, was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s Player of the Week on Monday, April 17.
Penn State Altoona held its 21st Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Fair (URCAF) on Saturday, April 15, showcasing the work of over 130 students and over 35 faculty mentors of the college. The event offers students a chance to share their research projects and other creative activities with the campus community, friends, and family members through oral presentations, poster presentations, and performances in categories including arts and humanities, health and life sciences, internships, business, nursing, engineering, information technology, and performing arts.

Ivyside Dance Ensemble will hold auditions on Tuesday and Thursday, Sept. 2 and 4, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. in the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. Callbacks will be held each day from 6 to 8 p.m.
As part of Autism Awareness Month, Penn State Altoona will hold a student panel discussion from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, in the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. Students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder will share their personal stories and answer questions.

Penn State Altoona's University Jazz Band will perform with the Little Balcony Big Band at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, in the Paul R. and Margery Wolf Kuhn Theatre of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. This performance is free and open to the public.
