Student panel on autism awareness set for April 25

ALTOONA, Pa. — To mark Autism Awareness Month, Penn State Altoona will hold a student panel discussion from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, in the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts.

Students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) will share their personal stories and answer questions. ASD is a neurological and developmental disorder that affects how people interact with others, communicate, learn, and behave.

The event is sponsored by Student Disability Resources at Penn State Altoona. It is free and open to the public.
