The Technical Writing concentration is a four-course option for English majors at Penn State Altoona, giving graduates an added credential that will make them even more competitive in the job market.
Penn State Altoona criminal justice students participated in the “Realities of Police Use of Force” educational training at the Pennsylvania State Police Academy on Thursday, April 13. Twelve students, accompanied by Nathan Kruis, assistant professor of criminal justice, made the trip to Hershey for the training.
The spring 2023 issue of Hard Freight, Penn State Altoona's literary arts magazine, is now available online. It showcases undergraduate poetry, short fiction, creative nonfiction, visual art, audio, and a faculty spotlight featuring the work of Ian Marshall, emeritus professor of English and environmental studies. Due to the discovery of key errors in the voting process for the AMCC men’s volleyball postseason awards, the league released amended all-conference teams on April 19 that included the addition of Penn State Altoona middle blocker Connor Ebersole.
Penn State Altoona will display student artwork April 20–30 in the McLanahan Gallery of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. This exhibition is free and open to the public.
The “Workout” exhibit features student pieces selected by art faculty members. Work from art majors and students taking general education art classes will be on display.
Penn State Altoona will showcase choreographic works by students in dance classes at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 28, in the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts.
