NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. — Six student-athletes from the Penn State Altoona softball team were chosen to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference squad and Lions head coach Bill Graham was selected the league’s Co-Coach of the Year, as the conference office released its postseason softball awards on May 13.
Second baseman Alyssa Fisher, of Lock Haven, and third baseman Hanna Lauck, of Bellefonte, were voted first-team All-AMCC; right-handed pitcher Josselyn Nau, of Bellefonte, first baseman Gianna Hoppel, of Lewistown, and shortstop Karli Storm, of Chest Springs, were second-team selections; and utility player Madison Kennedy, Williamsburg, was a third-team pick.
Graham earns AMCC Coach of the Year honors for the second time in his four-year tenure with the Penn State Altoona softball program, this year sharing the recognition with Pitt-Greensburg head coach Chuck Myers. Graham helped the Lions finish their 2025 season with a 22-16 overall record, including a 10-6 mark within the AMCC that gave the team a share of the conference’s regular season title. Penn State Altoona got the number one seed in the AMCC Championship Tournament and finished as the conference’s runner-up.
Fisher started all 38 games for Penn State Altoona this spring and ranked second among all AMCC players in runs scored (39), fifth in hits (49) and doubles (12), seventh in total bases (66), ninth in stolen bases (10), 10th in slugging percentage (.512) and batting average (.380), 12th in walks (13), 15th in home runs (1), 16th in on-base percentage (.438), 18th in runs batted in (20), and 23rd in triples (1). As a fielder, Fisher was also fifth in the AMCC in assists (61) and ninth in double plays turned (5). During the season, she received two AMCC Player of the Week awards.
Lauck started 37 of Penn State Altoona’s 38 games this season, finishing the year first in the conference in sacrifice flies (3), seventh in doubles (11) and RBI (28), ninth in hits (43), 18th in total bases (54) and batting average (.361), 22nd in slugging percentage (.454), and 33rd in on-base percentage (.388). With the glove, Lauck ranked fourth in the AMCC in assists (73) and 21st in double plays turned (3).
Nau made 22 total appearances in the pitching circle this season, including 20 starts. She led all AMCC pitchers in starts (20), wins (13), and complete games (19) while also ranking second in the league in shutouts (3), innings pitched (132 1/3), and earned run average (2.70), third in appearances (22), fifth in saves (1), sixth in strikeouts (68) and opponent batting average (.289), and ninth in strikeouts per game (3.6). Nau was a three-time AMCC Pitcher of the Week this season.
Hoppel started all 38 games for the Lions in 2025 and was first in the AMCC in hit by pitch (6), third in doubles (13), fourth in RBI (31) and sacrifice flies (2), fifth in batting average (.410), sixth in hits (48) and total bases (67), seventh in slugging percentage (.573), eighth in on-base percentage (.466), and 12th in runs scored (26) and home runs (2). She also led the conference in put outs (281) and double plays (9) while being ninth in fielding percentage (.933). Hoppel picked up one AMCC Player of the Week award during the season.
Storm started all 38 of her team’s games this season, leading the AMCC in walks drawn (29) while also being second in on-base percentage (.519), eighth in batting average (.382), 16th in hits (39), 18th in RBI (20), 21st in runs scored (22), 23rd in total bases (46), and 24th in slugging percentage (.451). In the field, Storm ranked first in the AMCC in assists (106) and was ninth in double plays turned (5).
Kennedy started 37 games for the Lions in her first season of collegiate softball. Among all hitters in the AMCC, she finished 15th in home runs (1), 23rd in triples (1), 38th in runs scored (15), 40th in RBI (14), 47th in total bases (32), and 49th in hits (25). Kennedy’s performance within the AMCC was particularly strong, including a .304 batting average against conference opponents.
