Brian Black recently spoke at the Crafting the Long Tomorrow symposium in Tuscon, Arizona.

Organized by the University of Arizona,  the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, Arizona State University's Center for Science and the Imagination, and the Rachel Carson Institute for Environment/Society, the three-day, small-scale conference brought together a host of leading global figures in environmental humanities with the intention that their dialogue will help form future thinking on these important issues.

Black, distinguished professor of history and environmental studies, gave the talk "A Very Different Energy Transition” in a session on energy future. He used a selection of art work by Rebecca Strzelec, distinguished professor of visual arts at Penn State Altoona.
