ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. – Two Penn State Altoona men’s tennis players were voted to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s All-Conference team, as the league released its postseason honors on Tuesday.

Freshman Parag Dharbhamulla (Johnstown, PA/Westmont Hilltop) was selected as the AMCC’s Co-Newcomer of the Year, sharing the recognition with Franciscan University’s Luke Conrad. Meanwhile, junior Jonathan D’Arcy (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) earned second team All-AMCC honors.

Dharbhamulla had an excellent first year with the Penn State Altoona men’s tennis program this spring, posting a 4-3 overall record in No. 2 singles, including a 3-2 mark against AMCC opponents in that slot. His four overall wins in No. 2 singles were the third-most in the conference, and his three AMCC wins tied for the most in No. 2 singles. In doubles play, Dharbhamulla went 4-4 overall and 3-2 against AMCC opponents. He was 3-4 in the No. 1 doubles slot and 1-0 in No. 2 doubles. Dharbhamulla earned one AMCC Player of the Week award during the season.

D’Arcy was voted second team All-Conference for his performance in No. 5 singles this season. In the No. 5 slot, the junior went 5-2 overall and 4-1 in the AMCC, leading the conference in both No. 5 singles overall wins and conference wins. D’Arcy’s total of six overall singles wins tied for the most on Penn State Altoona this season.
