Students from all disciplines are involved in research and creative inquiry, and you can get started at any time. Any Penn State Altoona student can participate in undergraduate research or creative inquiry!
What are the benefits?
Working on your research or creative project can provide a better understanding of the methodology in your discipline, the ability to work on real-world problems, supplement information learned in class, create a sense of community with your mentor and other research/creative inquiry students, hone transferable skills (e.g., critical thinking, problem-solving, communication skills), solidify a career path, and create opportunities to share results via publications, presentation, and public exhibition.
