Living in one of Penn State Altoona’s four residence halls offers you convenience, safety, and so much more. You’ll live just steps from your classes, from your meals, from your campus activities and co-curricular experiences, and from your friends. You’ll be part of an engaged and supportive learning community whether you choose to live in Penn State Altoona’s traditional or suite-style residence halls.
Students who reside in University-owned housing must abide by Penn State’s Student Code of Conduct, as well as the Housing Terms, Conditions, and Regulations for the current academic year. If you have routine maintenance need such as a burned-out light bulb, problems with your micro-fridge, or a torn window screen, please complete a fixit request so Housing staff can address it as quickly as possible.
It’s particularly important to review the sections regarding damages and room maintenance, as well as alcohol and illegal substances (including marijuana) and fire safety policies. Residents are responsible for their guests and their behavior, and when concern for the safety and/or security of residents exists, residents and guests (if applicable) will be referred to meet with a professional staff member to discuss those concerns.
