Award Information
Purpose
The purpose of this award shall be to recognize undergraduate students enrolled at the Commonwealth Locations whose outstanding qualities of character, scholarship, leadership, and citizenship have been directed into programs and services that have positively influenced fellow students and have contributed to the prestige and well-being of their campus and, hence, to the reputation of the University as a whole.
Funding of the Award
Funds have been contributed by Eric A. and Josephine S. Walker.
Eligibility
Consideration of this award shall be given to all students enrolled at the Commonwealth Locations who are completing two full years of undergraduate study in either an associated degree or baccalaureate degree program and who during this period of enrollment has consistently demonstrated those qualities which the Eric A. and Josephine S. Walker Award honors.
Nature of the Award
The recipient of this award at each campus shall have their name suitably engraved on a plaque, which shall be permanently displayed at the campus. In addition, each recipient will receive a certificate and an appropriate plaque or medallion.
