The Penn State Altoona men’s golf team won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championship for the third consecutive season and eighth time overall when the Lions finished in first place out of nine teams at the conclusion of the second and final round of the tournament at Indiana Country Club.

A member of the Penn State Altoona women’s volleyball team earned another Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference weekly award on Monday, Oct. 9, when Lions’ outside hitter Lacee Barnhart, of Bellefonte, was named the league’s Defensive Player of the Week. Barnhart led the Lions in digs last week in 3-0 wins over AMCC opponents Pitt-Greensburg and Hilbert College.

Attendees are invited to read or perform their own work or music or share a favorite piece of poetry or prose. Participants will be invited to sign up at the beginning of the program.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary release of the iconic album “Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd, Penn State Altoona will offer tribute performances Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 18 through 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Wolf Kuhn Theatre of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts.
Aaron Kuhn, a second-year animal science student in Penn State’s College of Agricultural Sciences, completed a summer internship on a 1,600-acre cattle ranch in Colorado.
After wrapping up his career with the United States Navy, Aaron Kuhn, a second-year animal science student in Penn State’s College of Agricultural Sciences who currently studies at Penn State Altoona, returned home to Hollidaysburg to revive his family farm.
