RTE-Specific Scholarships at Penn State Altoona

A total of $105,869 was awarded to RTE students in the 2020-2021 academic year from the following scholarship funds:

Robert and Virginia Bowman Scholarship for Rail Transportation Engineering at Penn State Altoona
This scholarship is awarded to full-time undergraduate students majoring in or planning to major in Rail Transportation Engineering at Penn State Altoona.

The Mackey Family Charitable Trust Trustee Scholarship
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to students enrolled in or planning to enroll in Rail Transportation Engineering at Penn State Altoona.

Charles N. Marshall Endowed scholarship at Penn State Altoona
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students who are majoring or planning to major in Rail Transportation Engineering at Penn State Altoona.

Donnell Marshall Rail Transportation Engineering Recruitment Scholarship at Penn State Altoona
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students who are majoring or planning to major in Rail Transportation Engineering at Penn State Altoona.

Bonnie and Charles W. Moorman Rail Transportation Engineering Scholarship at Penn State Altoona
Awarded to full-time students enrolled in Rail Transportation Engineering at Penn State Altoona.

Rail Transportation Engineering (RTE) Student Scholarship at Penn State Altoona
Awarded to full-time students enrolled in Rail Transportation Engineering at Penn State Altoona.

John P. Conrad Rail Transportation Engineering Research Fund and Award
Funding provided by SEDA-COG Joint Rail Authority and The North Shore Railroad. This research fund and award recognizes outstanding achievement in rail research.

Gerhard Thelen Rail Transportation Engineering Scholarship
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Altoona. Preference for this scholarship shall be given to students majoring in Rail Transportation Engineering or engineering.

Washington Area Railway Engineering Society (W.A.R.E.S.) Scholarship in Rail Transportation Engineering
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to Penn State Altoona students of junior academic standing, who have achieved exemplary academic achievement while majoring in Rail Transportation Engineering.

Harry and Minnie S. Silknetter Trustee Scholarship
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Altoona with demonstrated financial need. Preference shall be given to students majoring in, or planning to major in, Rail Transportation Engineering, or successor degree program, and whose home address of residence is within Blair or Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.

Horseshoe Curve Chapter, National Railway Historical Society Student Award
Two awards per academic year to recognize outstanding academic achievement in the Rail Transportation Engineering degree. The funding is provided by the Horseshoe Curve Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society.

Curry Supply Holding, Inc. Rail Transportation Engineering and Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology Scholarship
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time junior or senior Rail Transportation Engineering and Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology students who have demonstrated financial need.

Phil and Lola Merilli Transportation Engineering Scholarship
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time junior or senior Rail Transportation Engineering students who have demonstrated financial need.

McClanahan Corporation Trustee Scholarship
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Altoona with demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to students majoring in Engineering or Rail Transportation Engineering.

Donnell Marshall Excellence Scholarship for Rail Transportation Engineering Students at Penn State Altoona
Students who are planning to or are enrolled in Rail Transportation at Penn State Altoona.

Spiegel Family Endowed Scholarship for Rail Transportation Engineering Students at Penn State Altoona.
Students who are planning to or are enrolled in Rail Transportation at Penn State Altoona.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Altoona with demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to students majoring in engineering.

Jack L. and Carolyn A. Sparks Family Trustee Scholarship in Honor of Sons Scott D. and Todd G. Sparks
Consideration for this award shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Altoona with demonstrated financial need. Preference shall be given to students majoring in engineering.

Engineering Pioneer Trustee Scholarship
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Altoona with demonstrated financial need. Preference shall be given to students majoring in engineering.

John E. Hatch, Jr. Trustee Matching Scholarship
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Altoona with demonstrated financial need. Preference shall be given to students majoring in engineering.

Fred A. Pechter Endowed Scholarship
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Altoona with demonstrated financial need. Preference shall be given to students majoring in engineering.

McLanahan Corporation Endowed Scholarship
Full-time students enrolled or planning to enroll in an engineering or business program at Penn State Altoona
