The League of Railway Industry Women named Transportation Technology Center, Inc. president Lisa Stabler as 2017 Outstanding Woman of the Year.
Stabler sits on the Industry Advisory Board for Penn State Altoona's Rail Transportation Engineering degree program. She is a leading voice within the railway industry and an advocate for railway safety, engineering, education, and training. Stabler sets an excellent example for aspiring male and female engineers within the railway industry, and her experience and input on the Advisory Board has been of great benefit in helping to shape and grow the RTE program.
The annual award is presented to a woman in the rail industry who demonstrates vision, initiative, creativity, and guidance in a leadership role within her professional railway field; is innovative, a problem-solver and overcomes challenges; and brings consistent excellence to her organization and surrounding community.
