Altoona chapter of first-gen honor society to hold induction Nov. 20

About 40 students, faculty and staff will be among the first inductees during the first induction ceremony into the college’s new Theta Chi Chapter of Alpha Alpha Alpha, the national honor society for first-generation college students at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, in the Slep Student Center.

ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona's Theta Chi Chapter of the Tri-Alpha Honor Society will induct nine new members during a ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 6 p.m. in the Pond View Lounge of the Slep Student Center.

Tri-Alpha recognizes the academic achievements of first-generation college students who must have 30 credits and a 3.2 GPA. Inductees will receive a pin and certificate.

The community is invited to attend the ceremony and celebrate with the new members. Refreshments will be served.
