Todd Davis, Professor of English and environmental studies, served as poet-in-residence for a week this summer at the Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua, New York. Davis gave a poetry reading from his most recent book,Winterkill, as well as a public lecture, "The Nature of Contemporary Appalachian Poetry." While in residence he offered a poetry workshop focused on the use of dreams in poetry as a source of imagery and narrative construction.
