ALTOONA, Pa. — Join the Schreyer Honors College for the 2024 Luchinsky Lecture featuring Ainissa Ramirez, an award-winning scientist and science communicator. Her presentation, “Igniting Curiosity: Empowering Future Leaders and Global Citizens,” will be livestreamed at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22, in Room 150 of the Hawthorn Building at Penn State Altoona.

Ramirez’s lecture will touch on how scientific inquiry transcends cultural and geographical boundaries. She also will highlight subject matter from her book “The Alchemy of Us: How Humans and Matter Transformed One Another,” which details eight inventions and how they shaped the human experience. The talk will include a question-and-answer session.
