ALTOONA, Pa. — Patricia Jabbeh Wesley, professor of English at Penn State Altoona, has had one of her books released as an audiobook and another reissued.

Jabbeh Wesley’s book, “Praise Song for My Children: New and Selected Poems,” published by Autumn House Press in 2020, was recently released as an audiobook on Audible and other platforms. In 2021, Jabbeh Wesley signed with Autumn House Press to record the 240-page collection of poetry. She worked with David Villani of Data Music Services in Altoona to record the book. With the audio release of “Praise Song for My Children: New and Selected Poems,” the book is now available in print, in digital via Kindle and in Jabbeh Wesley’s voice. In 2023, the book was selected as the winner of the Theodore Roethke Memorial Prize in Poetry.

Jabbeh Wesley’s book “The River is Rising” was recently reissued. Originally published in 2007 by Pittsburgh’s Autumn House Press, the book went out of print a few years ago. In response to heavy demand, Jabbeh Wesley signed to have the book reissued. Produced as a partnership between Press 53 and the Silver Concho Poetry Series, “The River is Rising” was reissued in August as one of Silver Concho Poetry Series books.
