ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona will take part in the 2023 EcoChallenge, an online sustainability competition.

Through April 21, Penn State Altoona will compete against other colleges and universities, including Dickinson College, York College of Pennsylvania, and Wheaton College in Massachusetts, to make and follow through with the most behavior-centered commitments to sustainability.

EcoChallenge is a simple way to take measurable action on the issues you care about. Choose from a wide range of options dealing with waste, food, water, energy, nature and more. A few weeks of commitment, learning and action could add up to a lifetime of positive change for participants, Penn State Altoona and the world.

Students, faculty and staff may join the Penn State Altoona team by completing the following steps:

  1. Sign up for the Penn State Altoona team online.
  2. Make your personal commitments.
  3. Check-in when you complete commitments.
  4. Recruit, engage and encourage others.

More information is available on the EcoChallenge site.
