Thirty-nine Penn State Altoona students who are studying French, German, and Spanish were recognized during a Dec. 8 luncheon by the World Language Program for their outstanding performance this semester.

ALTOONA, Pa. — Thirty-nine Penn State Altoona students who are studying French, German, and Spanish, were recognized during a Dec. 8 luncheon by the World Language Program for their outstanding performance this semester.

Ava Zabelski, a first-year student in Global and International Studies at Penn State, gave a presentation on her experiences studying Arabic in Amman, Jordan. Her studies were fully funded by a National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) scholarship through the U.S. Department of State.
