Penn State Altoona to host suicide prevention program Sept. 22

Thursday, Sept. 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Pond View Lounge of the Slep Student Center.

ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona will hold a suicide prevention awareness program from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, in the Pond View Lounge of the Slep Student Center.

The event will include a presentation on suicide awareness among college students, training on the use of a suicide screening tool, and helpful resources. Two survivors will also share their personal stories. Support staff will be present.

The program is sponsored by the Wellness Health Advisory Board and Blair County Suicide Prevention Task Force.
