Students inducted into Penn State Altoona Communications Honor Society

Communications majors Madison Eisaman and Jayce Whitfield were inducted into Lambda Pi Eta, Penn State Altoona’s Communications Honor Society, on Thursday, April 28.

ALTOONA, Pa. — Communications majors Madison Eisaman and Jayce Whitfield were inducted into Lambda Pi Eta, Penn State Altoona’s Communications Honor Society, on Thursday, April 28. Eisaman is a third-year student from Bedford, Pennsylvania, and Whitfield is a senior from Tarentum, Pennsylvania.

The keynote speaker for the event was Mark Frederick, a recent graduate of Penn State Altoona’s communications program. As a student, Frederick was also inducted into Lambda Pi Eta and served as the Penn State Altoona chapter president.

Lambda Pi Eta is the National Communication Association’s official honor society. The National Communication Association is based in Washington, D.C. Its honor society has more than 500 chapters at colleges and universities nationwide.
