ALTOONA, Pa. — Students: Do you have an idea that could improve or solve a problem on campus? Here’s your chance to pitch it and win prizes.

The Lion’s Den pitch competition begins with the “How to Develop a Good Idea” workshop on Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 11:15 a.m. in room 201 of the Sheetz Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence on Penn State Altoona’s downtown campus.

All students are invited to work individually or in teams of two and submit their ideas by midnight March 1. Results will be announced on March 4.

The Lion’s Den final pitch event will be held on April 7, at 6 p.m. in the Slep Student Center. Finalists will have five minutes to present their idea to a panel of three judges, then field questions from those judges. Results will be announced at the event. Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to come out and support the finalists.

More information, including contest rules, is available on the Sheetz Center site. The competition is sponsored by the Sheetz Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence.
