Penn State Altoona faculty members, student present at marketing conference

ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona's Tulay Girard, professor of marketing, and Lori Lysiak, reference and instruction librarian, presented at the 2019 Atlantic Marketing Association Conference in Asheville, North Carolina, on Sept. 27. They shared their collaborative approach to blended learning design and activities to engage students in Principles of Marketing courses. 

Altoona student Ashley Conte also presented at the conference, explaining her library online research project on Gardners Candies, a Tyrone, Pennsylvania-based family business. The project was completed in a Principles of Marketing course taught by Girard in collaboration with Lysiak during the spring 2019 semester.
