Penn State Altoona to offer events, activities for Global Entrepreneurship Week

ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona will hold several activities and events as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, which will take place Nov. 12-16.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is the annual celebration of Penn State's year-round commitment to innovation. It brings together students, faculty, staff and community members to promote the entrepreneurial spirit and cultivate student startups. Each November, Global Entrepreneurship Week inspires people everywhere through local, national and global events to help them explore their potential as innovators and self-starters.

For anyone who has ever dreamed of starting their own business, Penn State Altoona will offer the following Global Entrepreneurship Week events and activities:

Monday, Nov. 12

Intellectual Property & Technology Law

6 to 8 p.m. | Altoona LaunchBox Supported by the Hite Family

With Attorney Barry Friedman

Learn best practices for obtaining patents, trademarks and copyrights, along with the creation and implementation of licensing relationships.

Like "Shark Tank," students will compete in a game show-type event to sell a random/whacky idea or product to win prizes.
