Todd Davis, professor of English and environmental studies, has two new poems featured at Poetry Daily and Poetry Northwest. Poetry Daily is an online anthology of poetry selected from current books, journals, and magazines to offer a sense of the diversity of the artistic terrain found in contemporary verse. Davis’s poem, “First Thoughts about God after Spying a Speckled Trout Eat a Green Drake,” was originally published in IMAGE, before being selected to appear on Poetry Daily. Davis’s poem, “Coltrane Eclogue,” was featured as Poetry Northwest’s poem-of-the-week. Poetry Northwest is a journal that was founded in 1959 and has accrued an international reputation as one of the most important venues for poetry.
