Former Penn State degree students interested in returning must apply for re-enrollment. You are not required to apply for re-enrollment to the college or major in which you were previously enrolled. However, enrollment controls established during your absence from Penn State may affect the choices for a major available upon your return. In addition, re-enrolled students must complete the graduation requirements in place for the major at the time of re-enrollment.
If you completed courses at another college or university during your time away from Penn State, you must have an official transcript sent to the Undergraduate Admissions Office, 201 Shields Building, University Park, PA 16802. You will be notified of courses approved for transfer. Transfer credits will be added to your transcript when the grades from your first semester of re-enrollment are posted to your transcript. When courses are approved for transfer, only the credits transfer, not the earned grade.
Re-enrollment applications are available from the Registrar's Office, located in room W115 of the Smith Building. To process the form by phone, you can contact the Registrar’s Office at 814-949-5035 or visit the Registrar's page.
