The NCAA announced its 64-team Division III Women’s Volleyball Championship Tournament field on Nov.18, officially selecting the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference champion Penn State Altoona women’s volleyball team to its postseason.

Tri-Alpha recognizes the academic achievements of first-generation college students who must have 30 credits and a 3.2 GPA. Inductees will receive a pin and certificate.
The 22 nursing majors included members of the Altoona chapter of Student Nurses Association of Pennsylvania and students enrolled in the Community and Family nursing course. They conducted blood pressure screenings and provided interactive game for attendees to test their knowledge of CPR, AED use and other life-saving measures.
