Throughout the month of November, Penn State Altoona Sheetz Fellows will accept donations for new or gently used winter coats, sweatshirts, hats, gloves and scarves for Penn State Altoona students. Class materials such as new pens, pencils, highlighters, markers, sticky notes, notebooks, paper clips, binder clips and binders will also be collected.

Students in Penn State Altoona's communication program produced a documentary that will air at noon on Nov. 4 on WPSU-TV. “The History of the Pennsylvania Railroad in Altoona” explores the origins of the industry in central Pennsylvania and explains how the railroad in the Altoona area served as a major contributing factor to the nation’s industrial, commercial and cultural development.
The deadline for submitting work to “Hard Freight,” Penn State Altoona’s student literary arts magazine, has been extended to Thursday, Nov. 9, at midnight.
