Earn two degrees in five years
KINES has an integrated program that allows qualified undergraduate students to earn a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in five calendar years of full-time academic study. The MPH degree is offered through the College of Medicine, Department of Public Health Science.
Integrated undergraduate/graduate BS/MPH
Penn State Altoona and the Penn State College of Medicine’s Dept. of Public Health Sciences offer an accelerated degree for undergraduates at Altoona enrolled in Kinesiology Movement Science Option (KINES) undergraduate degree programs. KINES students can earn both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree as part of this new IUG.
Those enrolled in the program have four years to complete their undergraduate coursework and then complete their MPH degree in Hershey. Students interested in the accelerated program must have a GPA of 3.3 or above. The MPH degree requires forty-two credits, of which fifteen can be double-counted. KINES students take some graduate-level courses during the senior year of their undergraduate degree.
