
Penn State Altoona will hold a symposium on intergenerational learning on Thursday, April 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Pond View Lounge of the Slep Student Center.
The symposium, titled “Intergenerational Learning and Living in Altoona: Programs, Places, and Possibilities,” is designed to inspire ideas and initiatives for connecting generations on campus and in the community.
ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona will hold a symposium on intergenerational learning on Thursday, April 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Pond View Lounge of the Slep Student Center.
The symposium, titled “Intergenerational Learning and Living in Altoona: Programs, Places, and Possibilities,” is designed to inspire ideas and initiatives for connecting generations on campus and in the community.
There will be several lectures from leaders in IG work from University Park, Penn State Altoona, ArtsAltoona, the Altoona Public Library, Age-Friendly Pittsburgh and Vincentian, a healthcare and human services non-profit organization.
There will also be a working lunch with pizza provided and round table discussions afterward.
The event is free and open to the public. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. This symposium is funded by Penn State Altoona's Community-Based Project Grant.
