
Penn State Altoona will host an Out of the Darkness Walk on Saturday, April 5. The purpose of this walk is to raise awareness and money for suicide prevention. 100% of donations go directly to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, whose mission is to save lives and provide hope for individuals impacted by suicide.
ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona will host an Out of the Darkness Walk on Saturday, April 5, in the Auxiliary Gym of the Adler Athletic Complex. 100% of donations go directly to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, whose mission is to save lives and provide hope for individuals impacted by suicide through:
- Funding research
- Educating communities about mental health and suicide prevention
- Advocating for policies about mental health and suicide prevention
- Providing support to survivors of suicide loss and those affected by suicide
