ALTOONA, Pa. — Five students and three faculty traveled to Washington, D.C., the week of March 13, as part of a Student Pathways to Undergraduate Research (SPUR) initiative.

Students visited and toured Howard University, Georgetown University, American University, and George Washington University. They met with faculty and graduate students to learn about research opportunities at the institutions. As a result, some of the students now have plans to apply to Howard and Georgetown Law.

The group also toured the National Mall and the National Museum of African American Culture and History.
