ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona will offer four information sessions about the 2023 alternative spring break trip to Puerto Rico. Information sessions will take place on the following dates:
- Tuesday, Oct. 11, from 12:15 to 1 p.m. in Room 129 of the Eiche Library
- Thursday, Oct. 20, from 5 to 5:45 p.m. in the Fireside Lounge of the Slep Student Center
- Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 12:15 to 1 p.m. in the Fireside Lounge of the Slep Student Center
- Thursday, Nov. 3, from 5 to 5:45 p.m. in the Fireside Lounge of the Slep Student Center
This alternative spring break is an eight-day excursion in which students will experience service-learning by visiting the El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico. Students will participate in conservation projects and a disaster relief and resiliency project in the local community. In addition, participants will work with the Boys and Girls Club and have the opportunity to explore the region's culture.
