ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona students are invited to stop by the Writing Commons’ end-of-semester “Chillax” lounge from April 18 through 28 to relax, enjoy a cup of coffee, color, get free books, and study for finals.
Hours are Monday through Thursday from noon to 3 p.m. in Room 127 of the Eiche Library.
English faculty will be available to chat informally about tutoring opportunities, study abroad trips, the English major, the minors in professional writing and creative writing, and more. Free novels, nonfiction and poetry books, and literary magazines will be available while supplies last.
The Writing Commons, Penn State Altoona’s writing center, helps students in all disciplines become more effective writers. Students interested in paid writing consultant positions may be eligible to take ENGL 250, a three-credit peer tutoring training course.
