ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona will once again take part in EcoChallenge, an online sustainability competition.

Running April 1-21, Penn State Altoona will compete against other colleges and universities to make and follow through with the most behavior-centered commitments to sustainability.

EcoChallenge — a web program designed to educate, identify, and easily assess commitments — is a simple way to take measurable action on the issues you care about. Choose from a wide range of options dealing with waste, food, water, energy, nature and more. A few weeks of commitment, learning, and action could add up to a lifetime of positive change for participants, Penn State Altoona, and the world.

Students, faculty and staff may join the Penn State Altoona team by completing the following steps:

  1. Sign up online.
  2. Make your personal commitments.
  3. Recruit others.
  4. Check-in when you complete commitments.
  5. Comment, engage and encourage others.
