ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State's University-wide Cooking Classic served up a second helping of its popular webinar series.

Nearly 200 people took part in the program, held virtually on four consecutive Wednesdays over the winter. Each night was hosted by different Penn State colleges and campuses. University faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends learned about various foods and recipes that featured southern cuisine and nightcaps.

In addition to building the alumni community, the program helped raise awareness of food insecurity experienced by Penn State students. Attendees were able to assist Lions Pantries at campuses across the commonwealth. A total of 97 donors gave more than $2,400 to the University's food pantries including Penn State Altoona's Ivyside Eats program.
